After years of a practicing yoga, I finally took the leap and got certified to be a yoga instructor. Two hundred hours and four months later, I am excited to now be able to guide people in their journey and practice of yoga. I chose to become a yoga teacher versus any other exercise instructor because of the all encompassing, multi-faceted branches available to practice for people of all ages.
It’s easy and accessible. In order to benefit from yoga, all you need to do is show up and be fully present in your practice. If you regularly take the time for yourself and commit the asanas or postures, you will start to feel and experience the benefits no matter where you are today.
My practice has taken me to places of greater compassion, patience and understanding for myself. I have learned to listen to what my body needs and to understand how far and when I can push it. And what I have come to understand is that being fully aware of my own capacity has helped me to appreciate and be more understanding of this in others.
